Unstructured Work Activities Introduce Risk

In our ongoing mission at Media 1 to transition companies from eLearning to the UXP as a performance support platform, I recently came across the concept of structured vs. unstructured work activities. In the context of work processes involving productivity software, structured activities are guided from beginning to end by an application. For example, completing your tax forms and filing with the IRS online using complex tax preparation software is a structured work activity. The process and final delivery is guided from start to completion by a software application with built-in user assistance.
